Less Traffic and Friendly Faces, Why Overland Park is a great place to Live.

The Clocktower in Downtown Overland Park

The Clocktower is a focal point for Downtown Overland Park.

In 1905, William B. Strang had a vision of the perfect community. A place where normal, middle-class folks can live in a “park-like”community with strong educational facilities, commerce, robust neighborhoods and easy access to transportation. After 106 long years, Strang’s vision of that community has nearly come to pass with the vibrant city now known as Overland Park. Located due south of Kansas City, Overland Park is a great place for people to raise a family just outside of a major metropolitan area.

Aside from the lessened traffic, Overland Park is a great place to live due to the numerous community events and friendly faces around town. Facilities such as Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, Matt Ross and Tomahawk Ridge Community Centers and the state-of-the-art Overland Park Soccer Complex makes Overland Park a great city to raise a family. Overland Park residents have access to countless programs, classes and activities that could keep their teens and children active all year round.

Single adults that move to Overland Park can also have an amazing experience. The city is a great place to live if you work in Kansas City, but do not want to live in the city. If you are looking for a night on the town, Downtown Overland Park has numerous restaurants, bars and venues that regularly have small events throughout the year.

Overland Park is definitively one of the best places to live outside of Kansas City. The pre-designed settlement has grown and flourished into one of the best suburban cities outside of Kansas City. The future of Overland Park is still burning bright, so take a day to visit and tour this gem of suburban living.
